A picnic tour to Manchanabele which is located around 50 km from Bangalore city en-route to Mysore. A place we had known where different birds existed which are different from the water birds seen at Ranganthittu. We were a group of 10 people which met directly at dam and got some good sightings. Later we headed to Savanadurga forest reserve which was a walk into wild unknown regions. We could go further but decided otherwise as the forest was getting dense and we could not spot any ranger for any emergency help. Good time to visit the place is morning. On way one can also see the great banyan tree along with nurseries to pick some plants. I was excited to see the common house sparrow which used to fly freely in city until the invasion of cell phone waves which led them to villages where mobile fever is still catching on.
