Tarangire national park is situated south west of the Safari base town of Arusha with a distance of about 120 km. Each national park has a unique offering and Tarangire is no different. The presence of Baobab trees and warthog animal make it unique. Warthog looks similar to a wild boar but unlike its beastly relative, it is a herbivore. The scary looking teeth are false and used as a defense mechanism by the animal to prevent direct attack to its neck and eye. I traveled to this national park in May 2010 and consider myself lucky to have sighted both of them them in their natural habitat.
