Somanathpura temple is located around 100 km from Bangalore. It was built by Hoysala dynasty with their intricate carvings on walls, idols and the ceilings. The temples are built in star shapes on a platform which is around 3 feet above the ground level. Inside the temple are god and goddesses for worship.
These structures are now classified as heritage and protected by laws. The other such majestic structures can be found in Halebid and Belur which are another art masterpiece.

I seem to remember when visiting this temple that the columns inside used to be able to rotate and make harmonic sounds. Thanks for sharing Sarthak, wish I could be your explorer buddy!
