Tamil Nadu

The state of Tamil Nadu is located in Southern most part of India. It is a historical place with many temples and holy places.

Attractions do not get limited there with the presence of dense Nilgiri mountain range in this state. It houses many touristy places like Ooty, Kodaikanal and others alike. From my personal experience, a little away from these bustling tourist destinations one can find nature at its best with unknown destinations awaiting exploration.

While exploring these new places, be careful of nature and do not leave any human trace.

I had been there a long back. I love exploring places but did not find TN a tourist friendly place….Ooty was good,so was Kodaikanal, I visited Sriperumbudur (Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination took place there)….visited Mahabalipuram….temples and all….and of course Madras (now Chennai).

Language was a big problem specially when you exploring the place on your own….in no other part of the country did I face such an issue, but a friend told me that thanks to the IT boom, Tamil Nadu is a totally changed place now…

IT industry has brought a big platform for people to communicate. I also feel the same but the situation is far different now.
I have been to many tourist destinations in TN and did not face any problems apart from high prices in the name of ‘tourist’.

yea, that is what…..earlier when I went, everyone, right from the locals to the auto people would communicate in Tamil and you don’t know what to do then…..
